Source: www.notimeforflashcards.com/2009/07/melting-crayons.html
Kit Includes:
crayons
paper plate
aluminum foil
cookie cutter shapes
Needed:
a sunny area on a hot day
1: Gather Materials
You will need some crayons, aluminum foil, cookie cutters, a paper plate, and a very hot sunny spot.
2: Peel Crayons
Start by peeling and breaking your crayons into small pieces. You can leave some chunky bits if it's over 100 degrees. If the day is cooler, try shavings or smaller pieces.
3: Cover Your Plate
Cover the plate with aluminum foil. Place the plate with the cookie cutters in a sunny spot. Add your broken crayons.
4: Wait
On a 100+ degree day, it may take an hour to melt, especially if you have lots of really big pieces.
Let cool inside, then pop out of the cookie cutters.
